KC Can Compost is a social and environmental enterprise created with the aim of providing organic waste collection to Kansas City's business sector and jobs to those in need.

Launched in 2019, the organization spent two years researching various concepts across the US and parts of Europe, resulting in a systematic method for collection that is simple to implement and maintain ––which makes Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art & Café Sebastienne proud to partner with them to dispose of food waste in a way that positively impacts the environment and climate at the same time as helping to employ once-homeless men and women, at a living wage, to collect organic waste from local area kitchens and divert it from the landfill for composting.
