Special Events (6:00–8:30 p.m.)
Lowriders of Kansas City are rolling art objects. Hydraulic pumps make these lowrider cars balance on three wheels or hop in the air, while the custom hand-crafted interiors, sound systems, and beautiful murals painted on their exteriors make them entirely unique. Lowriding is a family lifestyle bringing works of art to the KC streets, riding low, and slow.
Hi-Lux is a modern-soul band from Kansas City. By blending and bending the boundaries between soul and funk, funk and reggae, Hi-Lux aims to get you up on your feet to feel the music. The band is led by singer Julia Haile and consists of Tim Braun on guitar, Nick Howell on keys, Kian Byrne on drums, and Dan Loftus on bass.
Food and Drink:
Enjoy a bite to eat at some of Kansas City’s favorite food trucks, including Jerusalem Cafe, KC Sweet Treats, Roadkill Cafe, and Polar Oasis. Be sure to RSVP for the event to be eligible for complimentary food truck items!
Café Sebastienne will host a cash bar with ice cold beer, soda, wine, and cocktails available for sale.
