NEA Grant Supports NCECA Exhibition

KANSAS CITY – December 9, 2015 – For the second consecutive year, Kemper Museum of Contemporary, Kansas City, Missouri, has been awarded a prestigious grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). One year ago, the NEA announced a grant to Kemper Museum in the amount of $20,000, in support of the exhibition Adam Cvijanovic: American Montage, and coordinated programming.

KANSAS CITY – December 15, 2014 – Piece by Piece: Building a Collection, an exhibition premiering works of art from the Kansas City-based collection of Christy and Bill Gautreaux, will be on view from January 30 through April 26, 2015, at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, Missouri. Kemper Museum admission is free.

Recent Acquisition: Philip Taaffe

The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art has proudly acquired Enchiridion II by renowned American artist Philip Taaffe. The painting represents a significant addition to the Permanent Collection and builds upon the Kemper Museum’s record of collecting works by artists who continue a dialogue with the history of the gesture in contemporary painting.
