Wilbur Niewald, professor emeritus of painting at Kansas City Art Institute, taught there 1949–92. He is a nationally recognized painter whose work was added to the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, NY, in 1995. Linda Hall Library is on the campus of the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
