| For nearly a half century, the husband and wife team of Christo and Jeanne-Claude has challenged traditional notions of sculpture and artistic practice by wrapping fabric around objects, the natural environment, and constructions in urban settings. They have executed ambitious, large-scale projects around the world, including placing 3,000 umbrellas in Japan and California, wrapping Pont Neuf in Paris and the Reichstag in Berlin. |
