| Christensen is regarded as one of America's finest abstract painters and one of the most versatile. He started painting sprayed color loops in the mid-1960s, then moved to geometric color panels like the one shown here. His work from the early 1990s reclaims the sprayed look of the 1960s, but adds circular and centering images. |
