Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art

Opened in 1994, the Kemper Museum’s signature Gunnar Birkerts-designed building is home to the Museum’s growing permanent collection, its larger exhibitions, and educational programming. The popular and acclaimed Café Sebastienne and the Museum Shop are found within the Kemper Museum.

Kemper at the Crossroads

The newest destination for the Kemper Museum is Kemper at the Crossroads, located in the heart of the lively Crossroads Art District in downtown Kansas City. Kemper at the Crossroads features special exhibitions, programs, and more.

Kemper East

With galleries on its first floor, Kemper East, located at the corner of 44th and Warwick, presents exhibitions drawn from the Museum’s permanent collection. Kemper East opened in 2004.

On-site Information
Visitors are encouraged to stop by the Information Desk, located in the grand atrium near the front entrance of the Museum, where they can find out the latest details on exhibitions and events.
Parking
Free parking is available in designated lots at the Museum; along Warwick Boulevard; and in the Kemper Museum parking lot, located at the corner of Warwick Boulevard and 44th Street.
Café Sebastienne
The intimate café setting enhances innovative menu selections by one of Kansas City's most creative gourmet chefs, Jennifer Maloney. The café is open to the public for lunch Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and for dinner Friday and Saturday, 5:30–9:00 p.m.

Museum Shop
Adjacent to the grand atrium, the Museum Shop features one-of-a-kind works of art for sale to the public, as well as exhibition catalogues, posters, and notecards. The shop is open during regular Museum hours.
Educational Programs and Events
Lectures, film and video series, performances, and educational events are offered on a regular basis throughout the year.
Tours and Group Information
