Using the Museum for a Private Event

Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art is located just a few blocks north of Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza. The combination of art and food make the Museum a wonderful place for private events, including corporate receptions, meetings, and dinners; wedding showers and receptions; tours and luncheons; and formal parties.

Using the Kemper Museum to host a private, after-hours event is a benefit of upper-level membership and Corporate Council membership. Becoming an upper-level Museum member (as specified below) entitles you to significant benefits while supporting the Museum’s exhibitions, education programs, and free admission. Non-profit organizations should inquire about special pricing for using Museum facilities.

For more information or to tour the Kemper Museum event spaces, contact Julie Blumenthal at jblumenthal(at)kemperart(dot)org, 816-457-6195 or 913-221-3772.

Catering Service

The Kemper Museum’s Café Sebastienne will work with you to create a menu for your needs, from box lunches to five-course meals. All food, beverage, service, and rental fees are to be arranged and billed separately through Café Sebastienne. Café Sebastienne is the exclusive caterer for events at Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art.

The Museum is available for private events on Tuesday–Thursday and Sunday. Use of the Museum for a private event includes the atrium, courtyard, meeting room, and portions of the Café.
