For centuries, light has been an important element in the visual arts, and in contemporary art it glows with possibilities. Light intrigues the eye, ignites the imagination, and effects a dialogue with the materials and objects it encounters. All from the Kemper Museum's permanent collection, the works in Light Fantastic use light as a primary material, but each to very different ends.
