| Michael Shaughnessy uses ordinary hay to create beautiful abstract sculptures. His installations are a collaboration between artist and museum visitors who help construct his sculptures. Shaughnessy was in the Museum for an extended artist residency, working with schoolchildren and other visitors to create his monumental hay sculptures, two 16-foot-diameter wheel forms and two clusters of hay "lines." |
