Michael Lucero: Sculpture 1976–1995
April 5–July 6, 1997
see larger image   back to list   see current exhibitions   see upcoming exhibitions

This retrospective exhibition examined Lucero's enormous contribution to ceramics. His work combines such diverse features as ancient pre Columbian and Native American forms with modern ceramic techniques and contemporary issues. This idiosyncratic exhibition included pieces from several of his series, including Dreamers, Pre Columbus, New World, and Reclamations. The exhibition was sponsored by Philip Morris Companies Inc.
