Marco Maggi: Global Myopia
April 13–July 8, 2001
read catalogue essay and see larger image   back to list   see current exhibitions   see upcoming exhibitions

Born in Uruguay and living in New York, Marco Maggi works with the most prosaic materials, such as aluminum foil and apples, to create tiny works that seem to speak a secret language. Viewers enjoy both the workmanship and creativity of these intimate, labor-intensive works. This is Maggi's first solo museum exhibition in the United States, and he was an artist in residence at the Kemper Museum.
