| This exhibition featured works by five important contemporary Japanese photographers: Yasumasa Morimura, Miyako Ishiuchi, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Toshio Shibata, and Ken Matsubara, whose agendas and creative styles are discrete but joined by a collective Japanese sensibility. The exhibition, organized by the Light Factory Photographic Arts Center in Charlotte, NC, was on view concurrently with the Hallmark photography exhibition at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. |
