April 13–May 4, 1996
see larger image   back to list   see current exhibitions   see upcoming exhibitions

In conjunction with the 7th Annual Culture Under Fire, the Kemper Museum installed a series of Guerrilla Girls posters in its meeting room. Culture Under Fire is a celebration of the First Amendment rights of freedom of expression and is hosted every year by the Greater Kansas City Coalition Against Censorship. The exhibition was part of the Culture Under Fire annual Art Trek, Friday, April 26. The Guerrilla Girls challenge the art world's representation of women and other marginalized cultures.
